This Organic Hangzhou Tian Mu Qing Ding from Teavivre is a solid green tea that drinks surprisingly like a yellow tea. It offers a thick, brothy mouthfeel and a smooth profile devoid of any sharp, grassy astringency. The flavor is grounded by distinct, warm chestnut notes. While the session is relatively brief, yielding about four solid steeps, each one delivers a rewarding cup.

(Korean) 정말 향기롭고 맑고 깨끗한 느낌의 백차였습니다! 압병한지 5년이 된 지금 맛을 보니 아직까지 꽃향기가 향긋하게 남아있습니다. 향긋한 꿀물을 마시는 기분이 들었어요. 그러면서도 어딘가 과일의 느낌도 느껴집니다. 약간 당도가 높은 달달한 말린 과일 같은 느낌이 느껴졌어요. 조금만 더 세월이 더해지면 진한 달콤함의 말린 대추의 향기가 폭발적으로 느껴질 것 같았습니다.<br /> 수미 백차 인데도 백모단 백차처럼 맛이나 향이 화사하고 향긋해서, 제가 꽃밭 한 가운데서 과일을 먹는 기분이 들었어요. 저는 굉장히 만족합니다^^. 한국은 중국보다 물이 연수이기 때문에 조금 더 낮은 온도에서도 차가 잘 우러납니다. 저는 90℃ 정도로 우려서 마셨고, 시간은 권장된 대로 중국 공부법에 맞춰 9번 다포해서 마셨습니다. 정말 향기로운 시간이었어요. 다음에 또 다시 주문하고 싶습니다^^~ 　////　(English) This was a really fragrant, bright, and clean white tea!<br /> Even though it has been compressed for 5 years, the floral aroma is still wonderfully present. Drinking it felt like sipping sweet honey water. At the same time, I could also notice some fruity notes. It reminded me of sweet dried fruit with a higher natural sweetness. I feel like if it ages just a little longer, it will develop an even richer aroma of sweet dried red dates.<br /> Even though this is a Shoumei white tea, I thought it was just as bright and floral as a Bai Mudan. It made me feel like I was eating fruit right in the middle of a flower garden. I was really happy with this tea. ^^<br /> Since the water in Korea is softer than in China, I find that tea brews well even at a slightly lower temperature. I brewed it at around 90°C and followed the recommended Chinese gongfu style, enjoying about 9 infusions. It was such a wonderfully fragrant tea session. I&#039;d definitely like to order it again. ^^~

(Korean) 마른 잎의 향기가 굉장히 좋았습니다. 화사하고 달달한 향기가 났어요. 막상 85℃의 물을 붓고 공부차 방식으로 여러번 다포해서 마시니 물이 너무 뜨거웠는지 향이 빨리 휘발되어버려서 조금 아쉬웠습니다ㅠㅠ... 조금 더 향기를 오래 느끼고 싶었어요... 샘플을 구매했기 때문에 하나가 더 남아있어서 다음번에는 80℃ 정도로 우려서 마셔보고 싶네요^^　////　(English) The aroma of the dry leaves was really nice. It smelled floral and sweet.<br /> When I brewed it gongfu style with 85°C water and made several infusions, I think the water was a little too hot because the aroma faded quite quickly. That was a little disappointing... I wanted to enjoy the fragrance for a bit longer. (TAT)<br /> I bought a sample, so I still have one left. Next time I&#039;d like to brew it at around 80°C and see how it turns out.^^

Every year, this Bi Luo Chun is a staple in my Spring tea haul. I have learned to just buy it by the pound because I always regret it when my stash runs dry. It is incredibly refreshing, crisp, and simply a delightful green tea.

Each Spring I try to add this tea to my cart, and each year it reminds me of why I always can't wait for the new Spring teas to arrive. The dry leaves are consistently vibrant and tightly rolled, yielding a brilliant, clear liquor. The aroma is highly pronounced with sweet, floral notes, while the mouthfeel remains thick and buttery. It delivers a crisp, refreshing profile with a lingering, sweet huigan that holds up beautifully across multiple infusions. This is a reliable, top-tier representation of Lu Shan Yun Wu.

Rich and malty tea. Not smoky or bitter at all, which is very welcome.

I got this one in shou mei sampler. It proved to be quite nice for the price. It's really an approachable and cost-effective shou mei. The taste is mild but it's well layered and balanced. Gongfu method brings more of the date and peony aspect, while puting it in the thermos bottle yields an interesting slightly fruity tart notes with a woody finish.

Each year, I try to make a point of getting this and several other green teas. This year was a hit as always. Fresh, refreshing, and simply DELICIOUS Tea!

Quite Good

This is a really refined, refreshing, and clean-tasting green tea. You really get that sweet/savory amino acid flavor, and the calm, alert energy that green tea is known for is quite strong here. Some other reviews knock it for only going 4 steeps per the brew guide, construing this as low durability, but I think they are misunderstanding something. This tea can withstand 30s at 85C on the first steep and deliver that concentrated umami flavor without going astringent because it has a good amino acid to catechin ratio. Try that with a cheap green, and it would be undrinkable. You have to dilute the cheaper one more. Total steep time per the guide is actually 4 minutes, which is not low by any means.

I had a visit from some old friends that I haven't seen in a few years and one of them liked drinking a green tea a lot. I suggested that we try some Chinese greens and they picked this Long Jing. It led to a pleasant session of conversation and drinking, as the cups were emptied, the topics shifted around and we got to catch up on things in our lives and explore viewpoints on some other things. The tea was soft, sweet, with a roasted chestnut background and a slight floral backdrop. The colour was gentle bright green and I got a chance to talk a bit of the making process, show trichomes under the light and just kept filling the cups as no one objected it. By the end of the gongfu session the bitterness started to show up so we decided to switch to another tea to keep it sweet while we talk.

(Korean) 보통 백호은침은 맛과 향이 섬세하고 은은해서 강렬한 취향을 가진 사람은 잘 느끼지 못 할 수도 있다고 하던데 이 정화 백호은침은 보통의 복정 백호은침과는 다르게 정말 맛지 진하고 꿀 같았습니다~ 지난번 복정 백호은침을 마실 때 한국의 물은 연수라서 다른 나라에 비해 추출이 훨씬 많이 유도되기 때문에 권장 온도대로 85℃도 추출을 하면 약간 과추출이 이뤄지고, 섬세한 향기가 너무 빠르게 휘발되어 버리는 경향이 있었던 경험을 토대로 이번에는 권장온도보다 5℃ 낮게 80℃로 추출을 시도했는데요. 건엽에서부터 꽃향기도 훨씬 진하게 느껴졌고, 물온도를 낮췄기 때문인지, 정화 백호은침 찻잎의 특성 때문인지, 물을 붓고 나서도 계속해서 달콤하고 향긋한 향기가 지속적으로 이어졌습니다! 차탕은 맑고 깨끗한 색이었고, 입안에 들어가는 순간 꽃향기가 퍼지면서 크리미한 질감과 함께 꿀을 마시는 듯한 달콤함을 느낄 수 있었어요. 추출은 권장 시간대로 총 8번 공푸했는데, 거의 6~7포까지 향긋함이 지속적으로 이어졌고, 마지막까지 달콤한 맛을 즐길 수 있었습니다! 요정같이 귀엽고 달콤한 차라는 생각이 들었어요! 너무너무 사랑스러운 맛과 향을 가진 정말 만족스러운 차였습니다^^!　////　(English) I often hear that Silver Needle has a very delicate and gentle taste and aroma, so people who prefer stronger flavors might not notice it very well. But this Zhenghe Silver Needle was really rich and honey-like, unlike the Fuding Silver Needle I&#039;ve had before. The last time I drank Fuding Silver Needle, I found that the water in Korea is quite soft, so it seems to extract tea much more easily than in some other countries. When I brewed it at the recommended temperature of 85°C, it felt a little over-extracted, and the delicate floral aroma seemed to disappear too quickly. Because of that experience, this time I tried brewing it at 80°C, which is 5°C lower than the recommended temperature. The dry leaves already had a much stronger floral aroma. After pouring in the water, the sweet and fragrant aroma kept lingering. I&#039;m not sure if it was because I used a lower water temperature or because of the character of this Zhenghe Silver Needle itself, but the lovely aroma stayed with every infusion. The liquor was clear and bright. As soon as I took a sip, the floral aroma filled my mouth, and I noticed a creamy texture along with a sweetness that reminded me of drinking honey. I brewed it gongfu style for a total of eight infusions using the recommended brewing times. The floral aroma stayed strong through about the sixth or seventh infusion, and I could still enjoy its sweetness all the way to the last cup. This tea made me think of a little fairy—it felt so cute and sweet. It was such a lovely tea with a wonderful taste and aroma, and I enjoyed it so much. ^^

I bought this tea for two reason's ,one I never had unsmoked Lapsang souchong ,two I wanted to blend a version of Russian caravan using this and two other teas so back to this one , on its own to me to sumerise it , it’s a medium body tea with a solid milk chocolate taste , think Hershey bar really it’s pretty monotone chocolate ,makes it perfect for blending or enjoying on its own it’s different !

Great tea to drink casually, highly fragrant and perfect mix of leaves and buds for a full flavor with the light sweetness of the buds.
