This is really a very special tea, an unparalleled level of elegance and complexity. It looks similar to a silver needle white tea, but the controlled aging process has made it taste completely different. It has subtle hints of jujube and dried stone fruit like many white teas, but is also incredibly floral and refreshing. It has a cleanness reminiscent of that fresh, clean ozone smell that comes on right before a thunderstorm. Also it has some notes that are subtly reminiscent of oolongs: milk/cream/butter and orchids. Highly recommended to at least try a sample, this is going in my rotation for sure.

got this tea in the Shou Mei sample pack. In my opinion, it's the best of the bunch. I find many qualities in this tea: nut, jujube, lychee, dry mouth, sweetness and more that i can't really describe.
It will be interesting to see how it ages.

Exquisitely crafted teapot, a true work of art. The double layer allows the top layer to be carved and gives the design a 3-dimensional effect while the inner layer keeps your tea from leaking out of the pot! One of the most beautiful teapots I have ever seen. Mary Bao (customer service) was extremely helpful helping me to order the teapot. It arrived surprisingly quickly from China, 12 days from when I ordered it. As always, Tea Vivre very carefully packages their teapots so they arrive safely and undamaged. I couldn't be happier with the service and my order.

This is a perfect example of an authentic Yixing teapot in it's price range. I wouldn't look anywhere else for a pot that is comparable in price. I have 3 teapots that each cost more, so I can tell that it is 100% real Yixing ZI Sha. And it is made of good quality ores fairly priced according to their grade. It shipped very quickly from the US warehouse. It thickens the tea very nicely and adds a silky soft texture with NO sharp or harsh sensation. It softens the flavor notes without shaving off too much: I would say it's just right for most teas. Mine pours perfectly, and the lid fits perfectly as well. I have put about one whole 357 gram Ripe Pu-Erh cake through mine, and it has developed quite favorably. This will be my daily Pu-Erh teapot for 2 or more people. I'm very happy to have it in my collection and look forward to making good tea time memories with friends and family using this pot.

I drink a different silver needle everyday on my way to work. This silver needle was noticeably a higher quality, but a more delicate flavor. I enjoy both for different reasons, and would treat his variety as more of a sit down tea session tea rather than on the go tea

Dry leaf is incredibly tiny and tippy with a white-yellow fuzz and "sparrow tongue" shape. I usually brew tea in gaiwan but I decided to use tall glass with this one. The leaves sink immediately but some of them dance in the middle with a lot of trichomes moving around and a few of them stayed at the top, and I didn't mind chewing on them as the leaves are very young and not astringent.
The taste is very smooth followed with subtle sweetness and the roasted chestnut finish. I refilled it once and got less smoothness but more body. It's a very tasty tea with exceptional visual display.

As far as the daily drinking black teas go, this is a shure bet. COmpared to his bigger full leaf sibling, this one is more robbust, but less complex. Still, it brings great warmth to the body in winter months. Great for the office.
