A promising white tea cake with great aging potential. The 2020 Shou Mei already shows pleasant floral and fruity notes with a light, clean sweetness. Compressed beautifully, it brews consistently across multiple steepings. Excited to see how this cake develops over the coming years

The golden needles are visually gorgeous. Sweet, malty, and full-bodied with a warm caramel finish. Brews beautifully at lower temperatures without losing depth. An exceptional introduction to high-grade Yunnan black tea.

Nearly two decades of aging has done wonders here. This 2007 Palace brick is remarkably smooth — deep, rich, and complex with notes of aged wood, dark plum, and subtle sweetness. The 250g brick offers incredible value for such quality. A mature, meditative pu-erh experience.

Wild tree sourcing makes a noticeable difference here. This Dian Hong is exceptionally complex — bold yet refined, with layered notes of malt, dried fruit, and subtle smokiness. The ancient tree character shines through every steep. Purchased twice and will absolutely continue. A benchmark Yunnan black tea.

Absolutely deserves its award. Floral, creamy, and elegantly balanced — this Tie Guan Yin delivers that classic orchid aroma with a buttery finish. The 4oz zip bag keeps it fresh remarkably well. Multiple steepings reveal new layers each time. My new go-to daily oolong without question.

A truly exceptional aged pu-erh. The Jingmai ancient trees deliver deep, earthy complexity with smooth, velvety texture. Notes of dark chocolate and forest floor linger beautifully. The 2011 vintage has mellowed perfectly — no harshness, just pure depth. Worth every penny for serious pu-erh enthusiasts

Very nice ripe, not the heavy style, the subtile one, clear soup and sweet mid-wet forest, up to dark chocolate. nice mouth feel in the first brews.
again a good sample a get here.

Excellent in the refreshing sweet aftertaste, and quite good in the immediate fragrance and taste as well. I can feel it turning old now as it's approaching one year, but it's still a very nice tea. Definitely one to taste again in the new harvest!

This is a good scented tea that is also good tea. The jasmine fragrance is well integrated and doesn't boil off right away, there's no slimy residue to suggest anything was sprayed on the tea, and the base tea seems to have plenty of the natural sweetness and floral fragrance I associate with Keemun tea.
The body, strength of flavor, and aftertaste are basically exactly what I'd expect from a Keemun of this price point; but that's better than average for scented tea in my experience. The leaves seem of a pretty good grade and are whole and solid enough to withstand gongfu-style brewing.

Savory and substantial green tea, with a hint of smokiness. Base flavor is basically umami and vegetable broth, but the smoke gives it an almost meaty taste.
The bitterness the style is famed for is either not present here or just overstated. I brewed mine overnight in a hot thermos and it was excellent and far from too bitter.

This is a very interesting tea; I don't think I have ever tasted anything quite like it before. The aroma is complex, and the flavor changes as it cools off. It starts out with a grain-like flavor and aroma, and eventually it tastes more peppery and beer-like, with a mild taste of hops. Good. Check out my reviews at ratetea.com.

Despite being processed very much like Japanese sencha, this reminds me much more of the Longjing tea that's usually made with the same namesake cultivar-- it has the sweet nutty taste with a whiff of florals in the aroma, the slightly bitter mineral aftertaste, and the good brewing endurance/temperature tolerance I am looking for when I buy Longjing. Meanwhile, it has little if any of the umami and brininess I love in sencha. Just goes to show how cultivars and terroir aren't information you can discard I guess.
Good tea, would recommend, and not just for the novelty.

Reviewing off a sample.
Seems like a well made version of inexpensive roast-forward DaHongPao/yancha-- the Starbucks/Folgers dark roast coffee of the tea world. Brews a wonderfully thick and sweet-smelling soup, with a taste more like aromatic wood (if you could drink the smell of aromatic wood), tobacco, and some kind of indeterminate spice. Astringent if over brewed, but the pleasant kind that doesn't leave your mouth dry and numb.
If that sounds good to you you'll love this, I think. I did like it more than cheaper Chinese retail (supermarket) products in the same style I have had before, it's just not a style I like very much.

nice tea, not as subtile as the superfine jasmine downy dragon pearls, but not the same price. The green tea is stronger here and after few gaiwan's brew, gives a small hint of bitterness and make this tea not too tart.

Amazing tea right from the first sip. Everything starts popping in the mouth and clings longer than I would expect. Rich notes of honey, lychee and peach. Feels like smelling them in a local market. This lasts for a few steeps and then turns slightly bitter but still quite flavorful. I don't know if I messed up steeping somewhere halfway the session so I cut it short for a steep or two and put the leaves in cold water and then in the fridge.
I've been delaying tasting this sample, now I wish I had done it sooner. The ice tea version from spent leaves is still flavorful enough that it would go really sit well in the summer.

Very thin and light. Exactly what I wanted for brewing green tea. It arrived cracked at first where the handle joins to the glass, but Teavivre sent a replacement and aside from that one crack there are no glass drips, or lumps or any other imperfections on either glass. I have medium-large sized hands and found the handle very comfortable in a 2 fingers through the handle grip. It seems like there's room for bigger hands to use the same grip comfortably.
