Aroma: Jasmine Taste: Jasmine, white tea, sweet I usually don't like tea with added flavors or scents, but this is rather good. In the first infusion the perfume was too strong for my taste, but the perfume became less strong with each infusion. Underlying the perfume is a good white tea. The tea will become bitter if you wait too long between infusions.

Aroma: Floral, chestnut Taste: Chestnut Since She Qian is no longer available, this has become my favorite green tea. The curse of green tea is the fact that it becomes bitter if it's not brewed carefully, but that's usually not a problem with this.

Aroma: Roasted tea. Faint cloves, peach, and bread. Taste: Roasted tea, cloves, bread, slight sourness. This is excellent tea, with a charming name. But alas, it isn't true. No monkeys were involved in picking this tea. So disappointing!

Aroma: Floral, fruity Taste: Sweet, fruity, and something I can't identify. The product page says osmanthus aroma. We don't have osmanthus in my part of the world, so I'll take their word for it. Sweet aftertaste. Waiting too long between infusions results in bitter tea.

Bitter. I tried various things to reduce the bitterness and nothing worked. There are obviously people who don't taste the bitterness. Whether you taste it or not depends on genetics. I recommend buying a sample before buying a larger quantity.

Even at 160 degrees, using 3x as much water as recommended, and reducing the steep time, this was bitter. There are obviously people who don't taste the bitterness. Whether you taste it or not depends on genetics. I recommend buying a sample before buying a larger quantity.

Aroma: Floral, fruity Taste: Sweet, caramel, honey Due to the similarity in name, I was expecting this to taste like Premium Golden Monkey Black, but no. It comes from a different part of China and is a different tea. Nonetheless, a very good tea in its own way.

This starts out a bit bitter and becomes more bitter with successive infusions. I stopped after the fourth infusion. The first infusion is actually thin, but the mouth feel becomes thicker on the second infusion. Aside from the bitterness, the taste is as described on the product page. There are obviously people who don't taste the bitterness. Whether you taste it or not depends on genetics. I recommend buying a sample before buying a larger quantity.

I have to reduce the recommended amount by 20% and use 12 oz of water. Otherwise, the tannins become too strong for me. At 5g/12oz, I was thinking that this was a 3 star tea. After diluting it a bit, it becomes a solid 4. It's not as complex as the varietal keemuns, but it has an enjoyable taste and smell. It's not quite as good as the Grade 1, but at 4g tea/12oz water, it comes close.

Aroma: Floral, fruit Taste: The first infusion is OK, but subsequent infusions become increasingly bitter, even though I was brewing for only 5 seconds. After four infusions I gave up. The first infusion was everything described on the product page, and quite good. The second infusion was bitter, and successive infusions became more bitter. I did the infusions quickly, so the bitterness wasn't a result of waiting too long between infusions. I stopped after 4 infusions.

Aroma: Fruit and honey Taste: Fruit and honey, hint of cinnamon, sweet after-taste Finally, a pu-erh that isn't bitter. I was starting to give up hope of finding one. It's delicious. Waiting too long between infusions produces bitter tea, but that can be fixed by a couple of quick rinses in boiling water, which seems to remove the bitter component.

Bitter. I finally got tea that was just a bit bitter in the last two infusions, but that was with the water temperature at 160 and the steeping time cut in half. It was weak tea. Organic Tian Mu Mao Feng Green Tea

This was my first so-called yellow tea. I think it holds up really well as a halfway point between fresher green and more roasted oolong. It does not have the floral notes of a high-mountain oolong, but instead brings the aroma and warmth of a darker variety, which is well balanced by the freshness and vegetal taste of a green tea. All in all, it's a lovely tea for the late afternoon. Do be mindful not to overbrew, though, as it can get quite astringent. I wouldn't recommend brewing western-style unless you can easily remove the leaves from the water between pours or otherwise empty the teapot out entirely. More specifically: Brewed Gong Fu Style According to Package instructions The leaves are very delicate and have a wonderful woody aroma. The first wash makes that fall aroma explode. The brewed tea has a nice amber hue with a mild, dark oolong-esque aroma. Given its color and aroma, the first brew was shockingly like a fresher green tea with some vegetal flavor and some astringency. Later brews bring on more of the oolong flavor if less aromatic.

It can be brewed in several ways. I prefer the Western style with varying infusion times, and I'd like a lower brewing temperature. It can be sweet like chocolate or quite hearty

First time trying buckwheat tea, and it is very good, a deep nutty taste that feels fresh and full of nutty taste and aroma, and a nice golden liquor. This is a must try if you are looking for non-caffeine tea.
