This has interesting flavors, but is a bit thin for my taste. I'm sure that it's more labor intensive to harvest tea from wild trees than from cultivated trees, but on a price/quality basis, this isn't one of Teavivre's better offerings. If 1 star is grocery store quality tea, this is a step up, so 2 stars.

Aroma: Sweet potato, honey, and a floral hint
Taste: Sweet potato, honey, and a floral hint. Umani finish with a very slight tingle at the tip of the tongue. Later infusions lose some of the floral aroma component and have a slightly more bitter taste, with more tingle further back on the tongue in the after-taste.
"Aromatic Snail" may sound enticing or repelling, depending on how you feel about aromatic snails. Either way, it's a great tea.

Nearly two decades of aging has done wonders here. This 2007 Palace brick is remarkably smooth — deep, rich, and complex with notes of aged wood, dark plum, and subtle sweetness. The 250g brick offers incredible value for such quality. A mature, meditative pu-erh experience.

Wild tree sourcing makes a noticeable difference here. This Dian Hong is exceptionally complex — bold yet refined, with layered notes of malt, dried fruit, and subtle smokiness. The ancient tree character shines through every steep. Purchased twice and will absolutely continue. A benchmark Yunnan black tea.

Excellent in the refreshing sweet aftertaste, and quite good in the immediate fragrance and taste as well. I can feel it turning old now as it's approaching one year, but it's still a very nice tea. Definitely one to taste again in the new harvest!

This is a good scented tea that is also good tea. The jasmine fragrance is well integrated and doesn't boil off right away, there's no slimy residue to suggest anything was sprayed on the tea, and the base tea seems to have plenty of the natural sweetness and floral fragrance I associate with Keemun tea.
The body, strength of flavor, and aftertaste are basically exactly what I'd expect from a Keemun of this price point; but that's better than average for scented tea in my experience. The leaves seem of a pretty good grade and are whole and solid enough to withstand gongfu-style brewing.

Savory and substantial green tea, with a hint of smokiness. Base flavor is basically umami and vegetable broth, but the smoke gives it an almost meaty taste.
The bitterness the style is famed for is either not present here or just overstated. I brewed mine overnight in a hot thermos and it was excellent and far from too bitter.

This is a very interesting tea; I don't think I have ever tasted anything quite like it before. The aroma is complex, and the flavor changes as it cools off. It starts out with a grain-like flavor and aroma, and eventually it tastes more peppery and beer-like, with a mild taste of hops. Good. Check out my reviews at ratetea.com.
